Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup pecans, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste or extract
  • 2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 2 –3 tablespoons toasted pecan praline syrup
  • 1 cup milk choice dairy or non-dairy
  • Whipped cream + crushed pecans

Instructions

Make the Toasted Pecan Praline Syrup

  • In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add chopped pecans and toast for 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
  • Stir in maple syrup, brown sugar, water, and cinnamon. Simmer for 5–7 minutes, stirring often, until sugar dissolves and syrup slightly thickens.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla bean paste/extract.
  • Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a clean jar (or leave the pecan bits in for texture). Let cool before sealing. Store in the fridge.

Make a Hot Toasted Pecan Praline Latte

  • Brew 2 shots of espresso (or 1/2 cup strong coffee).
  • Stir in 2–3 tablespoons praline syrup.
  • Froth or steam 1 cup of milk until warm and foamy.
  • Pour milk over coffee mixture. Stir gently.
  • Top with whipped cream and crushed pecans.

Make an Iced Toasted Pecan Praline Latte

  • Fill a glass with ice.
  • Add 2–3 tablespoons praline syrup.
  • Pour in 2 shots espresso (or 1/2 cup coffee).
  • Add 1 cup cold milk. Stir to combine.
  • Garnish with whipped cream and pecans, if desired.
