Ingredients:
Butter (melted): Butter adds richness and moisture to the cake. In its melted form, it helps create a tender crumb and enhances the overall flavor of the cake.
Granulated sugar: Sugar sweetens the cake and helps create a light and fluffy texture. It also aids in browning and caramelization during baking, adding flavor and color to the cake.
Eggs: Eggs provide structure, stability, and moisture to the cake. They also help the cake rise and contribute to its texture and richness.
Vanilla extract: Vanilla extract adds flavor and enhances the overall taste of the cake. It complements the other ingredients and adds a warm, aromatic note.
Sour cream: Sour cream adds moisture and richness to the cake, resulting in a tender texture. It also adds a subtle tangy flavor, which balances the sweetness of the cake.
Whole milk: Whole milk adds moisture and richness to the cake. It also helps create a tender crumb and contributes to the overall texture of the cake.
All Purpose Flour: Flour provides structure and stability to the cake. It helps absorb moisture and creates a light and airy texture.
Baking powder: Baking powder is a leavening agent that helps the cake rise. It reacts with the other ingredients to create bubbles, which expand during baking, resulting in a light and fluffy cake.
Salt: Salt enhances the flavor of the cake and balances the sweetness. It also strengthens the gluten in the flour, which helps create a better texture in the cake.
Strawberries: Strawberries add a fresh and fruity flavor to the cake. They also add moisture and texture, creating pockets of sweetness throughout the cake.
Cinnamon: Cinnamon adds warmth and depth to the crumb topping. It complements the sweetness of the sugar and enhances the overall flavor of the cake.
Powdered sugar (optional for glaze): Powdered sugar is used to make a simple glaze for the cake. It adds sweetness and a smooth texture to the glaze, which can be drizzled over the cooled cake for added sweetness and decoration.
